Once Upon A Dream....

In the middle of an ordinary day, in an ordinary park...magic happened!
As if engagement shoots weren't fun enough, Craig and I did a shoot inspired by Sleeping Beauty's first meeting with Prince Phillip in the enchanted forest.

This seemed too perfect of an opportunity to pass up...since our wedding theme is loosely based on the fairy tale. The results turned out to be both magical and fantastic!

Such a handsome guy he he!!
I feel so lucky to have someone so supportive in my life. Thanks for letting me talk you into this Craig!

BIG thank you to the wonderful Sydni Indman Images for making this possible. You helped moosh together both fairy-tale and the love we have for each other.

I hope you enjoy! -Bunny

Sleeping Beauty

Good Morning,
I have a pre-wedding confession. My main inspiration and design will be based on the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. That's right, you heard me lol!
Now this is by no means a Disney wedding, there will just be small details, that upon further inspection, ring of my favorite princess.

So why Sleeping Beauty?
I love the story...in all it's forms. The dark, twisted thorns and pregnancy to the Disney Briar Rose, toppling over cake and color changing dress. She is also one of the princesses that still has her mother, which I didn't really put together until reading fan theories and Walt's history...so sad! Still, the story resonates with me.
On a deeper note, I feel like I have slept for most of my life. Only now, truly awake. My anxiety and depression left me with a few wasted years and in a total fog. While I still battle with myself each day...I am happy. I feel like the real me is here now and enjoying everything life has to offer. Plus it helps that I have found real true love.
Craig is my prince and I love him for it!

Wedding details:
The dress....of course I am not going to post a picture but I assure you it is perfect.

Colors: Blush, Ivory, Gold and touches of Powder Blue and Sage.

Theme: Romantic and whimsical. Each of the three bridesmaids will be in either red, green or blue and there will be light touches of the fairy tale all around (spinning wheel charm on bouquet etc.) Plus a table of sweets and cake.  There will also be a few surprises to help create the overall romantic vibe.

Thanks for reading! I hope to post more wedding ideas...I do have until October he he! Yay for planning ahead.

How we got engaged

On Nov. 8th we were planning to go up to my parents’ house...or so I thought. Instead we went south. After a while we made a circle ending up in Gilroy. Craig of course wouldn't say anything about our obvious detour. There are only a few places I know in the Monterey/Gilroy area so I was quickly blindfolded. We drove for a bit and then the engine stopped and Craig took off the blindfold revealing an adorable bungalow at the Monterey Vision Quest/Wild Animal Park. We had visited before, just for a tour about the animals and facility. I really loved the huge elephants and zebra.
I knew something was up...but I wasn't 100% sure…so I decided to go with the flow! LOL! We spent time in the bungalow and then ventured out to meet a few of the Zoo animals and to feed the elephants carrots for their bed time ritual.
I thought maybe he would propose at dinner, instead he surprised me during the elephant bedtime, proposing in front of Butch the 10 thousand pound bull elephant. It was so perfect. Trainers brought me a little gift basket and card, and as I was reading, beside me Craig knelt on one knee. I was so nervous and really didn’t know what to do, besides say YES!
Here is a short video capturing the proposal!

Fun fact: Craig asked if he could have Butch hand me the ring…but apparently in the past he had eaten two rings and they only got one back. So that was not an option.
The Monterey Wild Animal Park takes care of animals that need help and a better life. Often they used to preform and are retired. Staff spend lots of time creating a fulfilling life and forever home for them. I love seeing them flourish! Thank you Craig for creating this beautiful memory!

Here is what I posted on FB:
