Aqua de Vida

I have found the key to everlasting life and it is Barre.
Let me explain. Over the years... after my metabolism stopped at 25 :( I have been trying to get into better shape. Two things about me: I do not like working out and I rarely do anything for more than a few weeks. So I knew this wouldn't be an easy task. It was a little expensive, but they had a first-timer discount...so with a few clicks I signed up. With the added push that I had put money towards this, I decided to try out my first class that Saturday morning.

About Barre: Barre is a new workout fad with classes popping up all over Cali and girls(and a few select guys)stocking up on non-slip socks. Classes incorporate elements of ballet barre, yoga, strength training and Pilates. Plus everything is done to music, while they inspire us to push longer and leaner! Instructors also take notice of each girls movements, correcting form which is super helpful...especially for someone as uncoordinated as myself!

As the class started I immediately felt out of shape but as it went on I learned more and more. It felt empowering. Each section of training pushes you to hold difficult poses and make micro movements. This made my legs burn...but just as I felt that I couldn't hold on for one more second, we would move on to another section. Wheeew!
We finished the class with long stretches and a few easy yoga moves. With the last "take a deep breath/letting the air out," a smile crept across my face. I liked Barre. It was difficult and my legs shook but I felt a tad like a ballerina, and it was worth it.
The class I joined is located in Capitola and pretty close to my place...probably a BIG motivating factor. Both their studio and website are simple yet elegant. They are also celebrating their 3 month anniversary!Check it out: http://www.thebarrecapitola.com/
Now I have a special thing that I do, for myself. Today will be my 10th class. I still can't believe it LOL. Hopefully I keep this up and gain the sculpted lean body I want.

Eggy Muffins

Morning,
I wanted to do something a bit different this morning.
So I mixed together eggs, cheese, green onion, pepper and bits of bacon in a small bowl. I also added a tsp or so of milk...it helps make the eggs a little fluffier.

Then I poured the mixture into separate muffin tins. I baked them for about 15 mins and ta-da! Little breakfast quiche muffins! he he

I went ahead and made some extra bacon and added some hot sauce (Craig loves it) lol!
Enjoy!  -Bunny

Bloody Sundress

Howdy!!!

Cheers to a new True Blood cocktail!

This time it is the Bloody Sundress.
Straight from one of the first times Sookie is at Fangtasia. We all remember her getting drenched in Longshadow's blood after he is staked...completely ruining her little white sundress and any sense of normal.
Also, this scene has one of my favorite lines, "there's vampire in your
cleavage."

The pomagranite pairs well with the vodka and Lemoncello. The lemon is a bit strong and totally squished up my face he he!! But it's good...strong but refreshing.

Perfect for a weekend night in the hot tub.

Sleeping Beauty

Good Morning,
I have a pre-wedding confession. My main inspiration and design will be based on the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. That's right, you heard me lol!
Now this is by no means a Disney wedding, there will just be small details, that upon further inspection, ring of my favorite princess.

So why Sleeping Beauty?
I love the story...in all it's forms. The dark, twisted thorns and pregnancy to the Disney Briar Rose, toppling over cake and color changing dress. She is also one of the princesses that still has her mother, which I didn't really put together until reading fan theories and Walt's history...so sad! Still, the story resonates with me.
On a deeper note, I feel like I have slept for most of my life. Only now, truly awake. My anxiety and depression left me with a few wasted years and in a total fog. While I still battle with myself each day...I am happy. I feel like the real me is here now and enjoying everything life has to offer. Plus it helps that I have found real true love.
Craig is my prince and I love him for it!

Wedding details:
The dress....of course I am not going to post a picture but I assure you it is perfect.

Colors: Blush, Ivory, Gold and touches of Powder Blue and Sage.

Theme: Romantic and whimsical. Each of the three bridesmaids will be in either red, green or blue and there will be light touches of the fairy tale all around (spinning wheel charm on bouquet etc.) Plus a table of sweets and cake.  There will also be a few surprises to help create the overall romantic vibe.

Thanks for reading! I hope to post more wedding ideas...I do have until October he he! Yay for planning ahead.
